teach me mode

Teach Me mode shows you the properties of a kanji and then tests you on them. Based on the Leitner System of spaced repeition, kanji move between five groups that are tested at different intervals. Kanji in group 1 are tested all the time and kanji in group 5 are tested every month. Each time you get a kanji right in the test it will move up a group. Each time you get one wrong it drops back down to group 1. The circle icon to the right of each kanji shows the group to belongs to. An empty circle is group 1 and a full green circle is group 5.
