Easily browse through kana by scrolling up and down with your finger. Kana sets for hiragana, katakana, youon (contractions) and dakuon and handakuon are provided.

When you tap a kana the flash card viewer appears showing you a large version of the character, its romaji and one or two example words. To see a stroke animation just tap the kana and it flips around to reveal one. You can easily listen to the kana pronounced using the button at the bottom or add it to your practice set.

In the Speed Test you have to correctly identify the displayed kana before the timer runs out. This test is designed to help improve your kana recognition skills which will ultimately help you read kana more quickly.

The writing test requires you to trace the strokes of a kana in the correct order and direction. Simply drag your finger between the circles and watch the stroke appear.
